This chapter was very interesting and made me think about what the internet would be like without email...our communication would be radically different. It is incredibly difficult for me to imagine the internet being different in general, let alone lacking a major form of communication. These things are just things we use in our daily lives and pretty much take for granted, it is faster, and usually easier for me to shoot someone an email, rather than call them.
This quote from the last page of the chapter caught my attention:
"Our web-enabled ability to publish anything and everything without asking or permission has opened all sorts of possibilities, but it has hardly sated our human desire to have the last word."
