Chapter 2: Dave Winer

It seemed like Dave Winer, along with all the other innovators of the web, disagreed a lot about how the content gets organized and distributed.  I, too, can not imagine email not existing when I think about today's internet. I enjoyed hearing about Compuserve as well because it reminded me of how much the WWW has progressed since then. Winer's start of 'DaveNet' was a brilliant idea and execution, however, it seemed like he was constantly battling with other top-dog's for the duration.  I commend him for never backing down and following through with what was intended.
