This has been the most interesting chapter, in my opinion. When Williams and Hourihan implemented their idea of Blogger, it opened up the doors for normal individuals to use the blogger.com site for their own thoughts, making it easier and more efficient for the average "Joe" to understand and get their ideas out on the web. Williams and Hourihan created an brilliant sort of blogging interface for the rest of the creative web geeks to learn from, and for the average man/woman to feel heard via blogging.
Another thing I found extraordinary was how in 1999, blogger.com had approximately 2,300 members, and the following years exceeded that number by a long shot, with over 100,000 accounts in 2000, over 700,000 accounts by 2001! I found it particularly interesting that Google, more or less, got a lot of their ideas from Blogger, which helped Google to create the enormous foundation they have today.
